Murphy Varey was asked to develop program parameters and assess planning implications for renovation and repositioning of this 14-story historic hotel; the Davenport had sat empty for 15 years.  Programming criteria and space planning documents made the most efficient and best use of historically significant spaces while providing all of the amenities expected of a modern hotel.  Upper floors hold 283 guestrooms; a new state-of-the-art ballroom and meeting facility was constructed on an adjacent parcel.
