Murphy Varey developed programming criteria and space planning documents to make most efficient and best use of historically significant spaces, while providing all of the amenities expected of a modern hotel. 283 guestrooms are now accommodated on upper floors and a 6200SF new state-of-the art ballroom / meeting facility and drive-through porte cochere were constructed on the adjacent site of the former restaurant building. Significant architectural features of the restaurant building were carefully removed and preserved, some of which were reused in the present structure.
